I hope the new year is off to a wonderful start for you all.

Many of us share the feeling that there is nothing quite like coming home to Tierra Verde. Crossing the bridge serves as a gateway to our piece of paradise—a community we worked hard to attain and a place we genuinely call home. We remain committed to preserving this environment and ensuring that any new developments respect our community and adhere to the law, which is exactly what NEXT is doing.

Development Update

Greenleaf failed to submit a new proposal by the January DRC deadline. However, it appears they are proposing two 72-foot boat storage buildings closest to the bridge while maintaining the existing 40-foot barn. If they formally file in February, the DRC hearing will be held on April 1. Please do your best to save this date, as we hope to have a strong showing at City Hall to ensure our voices are heard. These buildings will have siding similar to the Port 32 marina on two sides but be open to the north and south. The restaurant is still in the plan, but the orientation has been moved so that it faces the Bayway and a large parking lot.

Tee Shirt Fundraiser & Group Photo

Our fundraiser is in full swing, led by Kathryn Challenger. We will be taking a group photo in front of the marina complex on January 26 at 4:30 PM. Please wear your NEXT tee shirts for the photo. To purchase a shirt or for more information, contact Kathryn at kchallen@tampabay.rr.com or email tierraverdenext@gmail.com.

Database & Outreach

We continue to use tierraverdenext@gmail.com to manage our database. Please encourage your neighbors to reach out so we can add them to our distribution list for future updates.
